1. Who we are
Podcast Monkey (“we”, “us”) provides recording, hosting, and distribution tools so shows can land on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Castbox, Pandora, Pocket Casts, and Podcast Addict. This policy covers the website at this docs host and any related demo accounts.
2. Information we collect
- Account data — email and authentication records stored by Firebase Authentication, including email-verification status, plus plan (Starter, Pro, or Premium) and billing contact.
- Show settings — podcast name, tagline, category, and description stored in Cloud Firestore under your account.
- Show content — audio, artwork, titles, descriptions, transcripts, and RSS metadata you upload.
- Usage data — log files, device type, pages viewed, and distribution delivery status.
- Payment data — processed by a payment processor; we store last four digits, expiry month, and receipt IDs, not full card numbers.
3. How we use it
We use this information to operate the service, publish episodes to distribution partners, provide analytics, bill your plan, send service notices (including email-verification messages), and improve reliability. We do not sell personal information.
4. Sharing
We share episode files and public show metadata with the platforms you enable. Account sign-in is processed by Google Firebase Authentication. Show settings are stored in Cloud Firestore. We share limited billing data with payment vendors under contract. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the service and its users.
5. Retention
Account and show files stay until you delete them or close the account. Backups may persist up to 30 days. Analytics aggregates may be kept in de-identified form. You can export a show’s RSS and media before deletion on Pro and Premium.
6. Your choices
You may access, correct, or delete account data from settings, or email privacy@podcastmonkey.example. You can opt out of non-essential product mail. Platform directories keep public episode pages according to their own policies after you unpublish.
7. Security & children
We use HTTPS, access controls, and hashed passwords. No method of transmission is perfectly secure. The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
